Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Lighthouse - 10-06-2026
1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 'The particular way in which the Spirit is given to each person is for a good purpose. One may have the gift of preaching with wisdom given him by the Spirit; another may have the gift of preaching instruction given him by the same Spirit. Another the gift of faith given by the same Spirit; another again the gift of healing, through this one Spirit.
One, the power of miracles; another, prophecy; another the gift of recognizing spirits; another the gift of tongues and another the ability to interpret them. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who distributes different gifts to different people just as he chooses.'
Don't be discouraged if you haven't received any gifts from the Holy Spirit yet, be patient, it may not be the right time for you. For instance, it took around fourteen years before I was able to preach with wisdom or instruction by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give you the words that need to be said.
The gift of discernment is a very important gift to receive and you should pray for that one right away. Discernment will help you determine what is Truth and what is not.
Another gift is Faith and we need to exercise our faith on a daily basis. God gives us faith freely and as we continue to go through tests and trials and even hardships, our faith will grow stronger. But, in order for our faith to grow, we need to get rid of Worries Fears Doubts. These three or any one of these alone will destroy your faith.
Pray for divine love, continue to study God's word and seek the Truth. God Bless You.
