The Expulsion of the Dealers in the Temple
#1
Matthew 21:12-16, Jesus went into the Temple and drove out all those who were selling and buying there; He upset the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those who were selling pigeons.

'According to scripture' He said 'My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are turning it into a robbers' den.' There were also blind and lame people who came to Him in the Temple, and He cured them.

At the sight of the wonderful things He did and of the children shouting, 'Hosanna to the Son of David' in the Temple, the chief priests and the scribes were indignant.

(16) 'Do you hear what they are saying?' they said to Him. 'Yes,' Jesus answered 'have you never read this: (g) By the mouths of children, babes in arms, you have made sure of praise?'

Foot Notes: Ps. 8:2 & Ws. 10:21 (21 g. = 16)

Psalm 8:2, 'By the mouths of children, babes in arms. You set your stronghold firm against your foes to subdue enemies and rebels.'

Wisdom 10:21, 'For Wisdom opened the mouths of the dumb and gave speech to the tongues of babes.'
