John P When Adam and Eve sinned, their carnal eyes opened. Sin had caused them to lose that spiritual bond they had with God. When they were living a spiritual life, death had no hold on them. It wasn’t until they sinned that death would come upon them.
God allows death to the flesh so man won’t live forever in the misery of sin. Would there sin cause them to lose life after death? (more…)

See the good in everyone, not the bad,
Despise the sin in others.
We need to rid ourselves of sin which is disobedience to God. The more we overcome, the more we begin to love God, our neighbors and ourselves. We grow spiritually, away from the worldly life and into a life that will be rewarding and abundant. (more…)

Peace, what a wonderful thing. Everyone of us wants tranquility. For instance, like when we stop and gaze at the beautiful scenery. For the time being, it removes all our stress, our troubles, it empties us of the things that cause us to be busy inside ourselves.
Every moment of every day we are usually thinking about something. But what we’re going to talk about here is the thoughts that cause us to feel pain or pleasure from humiliation or honor. This is a form of pride. We feel the pain of pride when things don’t go our way or when people say or do things that we don’t like. (more…)

We feel a void, emptiness inside that can’t be filled by the things of the world or any person’s companionship.
Even though we may have many people who love us, a family, friends and others that we may be in contact with from time to time, we still feel lonely inside. We often wonder what it’s all about and what can we do to get rid of that isolated feeling inside of us. (more…)

Mark 9:23 Jesus says, ‘Everything is possible for anyone who has faith.’ Mark 10:27 Jesus says, ‘For all things are possible with God.’
Worries, fears and doubts: What good can possibly come from these? Yet, we live with them everyday. Do you know that these can damage your mind, body, soul and strength? Do you know that it stops your walk with the Lord? Do you know that as long as worry, fear and doubt exists in your life you cannot be connected to God (you either trust Him or you don’t)? (more…)

She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger because there was no room for them at the inn. This is a true act of humility. God could have provided all the comforts of home for Joseph, Mary and Jesus, but He didn’t.
Reason: God had to show the world that He loves us just as much as He loves His son. Also, Jesus wouldn’t be able to preach and teach about humility, if God didn’t practice it Himself. By this act, God showed us that He didn’t place His son above all of us. (more…)

Idols are things that we see or actually don’t see (because of our blindness) as normal everyday objects that are a part of our daily lives. People idolize different things in different ways. There are two kinds of love: created and uncreated. Created love is the love that is part of our emotions when we are born. Uncreated love is God. When God created Adam and Eve, He created them in His own image.
They were pure love because God is pure love. They were spiritual, not carnal. When they rebelled against God and ate of the tree of good and evil they changed. (They did not eat an apple). There are good fruits and bad fruits. Galatians 5:22,23 good fruits – Galatians 5:19-21 bad fruits. (more…)

May 13th, 2010 John P Why is there a rebellion against God? Man seems to be so blind as to the obvious. The signs are right before our eyes and yet generation after generation fails to see them and/or yield to them.
Man wants to live in peace and harmony, yet wants to be able to keep his pride as well, strange isn’t it? After all it is man’s pride that is causing all all of this. (more…)
