Live in Lies or Live in Truth
Live in Lies | Liars | Malicious Lips | Slanderous Tongue | Falsehood
Proverbs 17:4, ‘An evil-doer pays attention to malicious lips, a liar pays attention to slanderous tongue.
Proverbs 19:22, ‘A man’s attraction lies in his kindness, better a poor man than a liar.
Jeremiah 9:3, They bend their tongue like a bow; Not truth but falsehood predominates in the land; yes, they go from crime to crime.
There is no such truth to what people call a “white lie”. A lie is a lie, there are no big and little lies. People try to down size sins by deceiving themselves in making them out to be innocent, causing no damage. They can’t see the damage they are doing to themselves when they Live in Lies because the darkness is blinding and no one can see in the dark.
Is God Your Father or Is Satan Your Father? Who Do You Obey?
John 8:44, ‘The devil is your father, and you prefer to do what your father wants. He was a murderer from the start; he was never grounded in the truth; there is no truth in him at all; when he lies he is drawing on his own store, because he is a liar, and the father of lies.
Satan lied to Eve about partaking of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 3:3-4, But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, ‘You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death.’ Then the serpent said to the woman, ‘No! You will not die!’
Satan lied to Eve and he will lie to you. He will try every trick in the book to get you to fail and fall as Adam and Eve have fallen. He knows scripture too and he can use it against you. He can help you deceive yourself. Keep away from him by focusing your eyes on God, by following Jesus, getting baptized with the Holy Spirit, by praying, reading God’s Word and stop sinning.
Lying About Being Righteous and Therefore Being a Liar
1 John 1:10, To say that we have never sinned is to call God a liar and to show that His Word is not in us.
1 John 2:4, Anyone who says, ‘I know Him (God)’, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, refusing to admit the truth.
1 John 2:22-23, The man that denies that Jesus is the Christ–he is the liar, he is Antichrist; and he is denying the Father as well as the Son because no one who has the Father can deny the Son, and to acknowledge the Son is to have the Father as well.
1 John 4:20, Anyone who says, ‘I love God’, and hates his brother, is a liar, since a man who does not love the brother that he can see cannot love God, whom he has never seen.
1 John 5:10, Everybody who believes in the Son of God has this testimony inside him; and anyone who will not believe God is making God out to be a liar, because he has not trusted the testimony God has given about His Son.
As you can see, there is a difference in who we serve and it is plain and simple, written in black and white in the Bible. The truth is within you, but we keep it locked up because of the darkness that we keep because we belong to the world and worship the things of the world. The world rules us, it is our king.
Until we recognize Jesus as our King and surrender to Him, we will belong to the world and our father will be known as Satan and not God our creator.
You can continue to serve Satan and end up in the Lake of Fire that was prepared for him and all others who refuse to serve God or you can change your ways and follow Jesus Christ, God’s blessed Son and our Savior and live eternity in heaven.
God Reveals the Wicked and the Evil
Isaiah 44:25, I am He who foils the omens of wizards and makes fools of diviners, who makes sages recant and shows the nonsense of their knowledge.
Revelation 21:8, But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and fornicators, and for fortune-tellers, idolaters or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning Lake of Sulphur.
Isaiah 59:1-4, No, the hand of Yahweh is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have made a gulf between you and your God. Your sins have made Him veil His face so as not to hear you, since your hands are stained with blood, your fingers with crime, your lips utter lies, your tongues murmur treachery.
No one makes just accusations or pleads sincerely. All rely on nothingness, utter falsehood, conceive harm and give birth to misery.
First, a gulf is a deep wide chasm; an abyss. In Luke 16:19-31 there is a story about a rich man and a poor man named Lazarus. The rich man is in Hades and the poor man is in the bosom of Abraham and there is a gulf that separates them.
In the spirit world there is a gulf that separates good from evil and sinners from the virtuous. Those that sin have created a gulf between God and themselves. The only way to get on the side of God is to repent and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Jesus Knows God the Father and is Faithful to Him
Jesus replied to the Jews in John 8:55, ‘although you do not know Him (God). But I know Him, and if I were to say: I do not know Him, I should be a liar, as you are liars yourselves (the Jews). But I do know Him and I faithfully keep His word.
Jesus knows God the Father and He can help us get to know God the Father as well. We need to learn how to be faithful and obedient to God. Follow Jesus and learn to listen to Him because He can help you to learn what you need to do to overcome your sins. In time, He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit who will also help you learn about God and connect with Him.
Discernment Helps to Know What is Truth and What is False
Revelation 2:2, ‘I (Jesus) know all about you: how hard you work and how much you put up with. I know you cannot stand wicked men, and how you tested the imposters who called themselves apostles and proved they were liars.’
It’s important to know truth and have the gift of discernment so that you can tell if anyone is true to the Lord or are preaching and teaching a different gospel.
Romans 3:4, God will always be true even though everyone proves to be false.
We need to seek truth and experience the truth so that we understand what the truth is. Pray for the gift of discernment, it will help you to know what is truth and what is false.
It’s vitally important to know the difference because you could be being led in the wrong direction. You could also wind up believing in things that will lead you into damnation.
Christians Revealed False Teachers
Revelation 2:2, ‘I (Jesus) know all about you: how hard you work and how much you put up with. I know you cannot stand wicked men, and how you tested the imposters who called themselves apostles and proved they were liars.’
It’s important to know truth and have the gift of discernment so that you can tell if anyone is true to the Lord or are preaching and teaching a different gospel.
There are articles about Repentance on this site. Just put the word “Repentance” in the Search box. Here’s one: True Repentance – Be Repentant of Your Sins.

Truth
Ask God to Show You His Will for You
Psalm 25:4-5, Yahweh, make your ways known to me, teach me your paths. Set me in the way of your Truth, and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.
Psalm 25:8-10, Yahweh is so good, so upright, He teaches the way to sinners; in all that is right He guides the humble, and instructs the poor in His way. All Yahweh’s paths are love and Truth for those who keep His covenant and His decrees.
Psalm 86:11, Yahweh, teach me your way, how to walk beside you faithfully, make me single-hearted in fearing your name.
Put Your Trust in God and Not in Man Including Yourself
Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust wholeheartedly in Yahweh, put no faith in your own perception; in every course that you take, have Him in mind: He will see that your paths are smooth.
Proverbs 8:5-7, You ignorant ones! Study discretion; and you fools, come to your senses! Listen, I have serious things to tell you, from my lips come honest words. My mouth proclaims the Truth, wickedness is hateful to my lips.
Practice Honesty in Your Life-Do Not Lie
Proverbs 12:17, To tell the Truth is to further justice, a false witness is nothing but deceit.
Proverbs 12:19, Lips that tell the Truth abide firm for ever, the tongue that lies lasts only for a moment.
Proverbs 23:23, Truth you must purchase, never sell; this is wisdom, discipline, and discernment.
Jesus Was Known as an Honest Man and Teacher
Mark 12:13-14, Next they sent to Him some Pharisees and some Herodians to catch Him out in what He said. These came and said to Him, ‘Master, we know you are an honest man, that you are not afraid of anyone, because a man’s rank means nothing to you, and that you teach the way of God in all honesty.
This why it is so important to be honest and be without speaking falsehoods. If we are going to spread the Word of God and teach it, then we need to know truth. You do need to understand Truth and understanding Truth only comes by experience.
Grace and Truth Have Come to Us Through Jesus Christ
John 1:14, The Word was made flesh, He (Jesus) lived among us, and we saw His glory, the glory that is His as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and Truth.
John 1:16-17, Indeed, from His fulness we have, all of us, received–yes, grace in return for grace, since, though the Law was given through Moses, grace and Truth have come through Jesus Christ.
Wrong-doers are in the Darkness and Those That Do Right are in the Light
John 3:20-21, And indeed, everybody who does wrong hates the light and avoids, for fear his actions should be exposed; but the man who lives by the Truth comes out into the Light, so that it may be plainly seen that what He does is done in God.
Truth is hated by those that want to please the flesh. You can’t satisfy the desires of the flesh if you want to know Truth. Truth is avoided by those that want to live a worldly life and those that do, are loved by the world.
Those that seek truth are loved by God and Jesus. They will help anyone seeking to live by the Truth and not by the desires of the their flesh. The world will hate them as they hated Jesus.
John 15:18-19, ‘If the world hates you, remember that it hated me before you. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you do not belong to the world, because my choice withdrew you from the world therefore the world hates you.’
A Child of God Listens to the Word of God
John 8:42-47, Jesus answered, ‘If God were your Father, you would love me, since I have come here from God; yes, I have come from Him; not that I came because I chose, no, I was sent and by Him. Do you know why you cannot take in what I say? It is because you are unable to understand my language.
The devil is your father, and you prefer to do what you father wants. He was a murderer from the start; he was never grounded in the Truth; there is no Truth in him at all: when he lies he is drawing on his own store, because he is a liar, and the father of lies.
But as for me, I speak the Truth and for that very reason, you do not believe me. Can one of you convict me of sin? If I speak the Truth, why do you not believe me? A child of God listens to the Words of God; if you refuse to listen, it is because you are not God’s children.’
Listen to God’s Word by following Jesus. Jesus and God’s Holy Spirit will teach you everything you need to become a child of God. Not only that, but they will bring you to spiritual maturity as well.
The Advocate, The Holy Spirit
John 14:6, Jesus said’ ‘ I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.’
Jesus is the only way to the Father and that is why He says to pick up your cross daily and follow Him. We have a lot to do before we can get to know who God is.
Experience the Truth and Understand
John 14:15-17, ‘If you love Me you will keep my commandments. I shall ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you for ever, that Spirit of Truth whom the world can never receive since it neither sees nor knows him; but you know him, because he is with you, he is in you.’
This is a scripture that has to be experienced before you can understand it. You will be walking in the spirit and not in the flesh. When you experience this scripture, it will be a time you will never forget.
Recognizing the Holy Spirit
John 14:26, ‘but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.’
You will recognize the Advocate, that Holy Spirit. He is going to be with you forever, not coming and going as He is know to do. You will listen to Him and He will guide you.
The Holy Spirit will be with us always and He will help us to discern Truth from false teachings. The Holy Spirit will help us to get to know God.
John 15:26-27, ‘When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who issues from the Father, He will be my witness. And you too will be witnesses’ because you have been with me from the outse.’
When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit and are taught Truth we will also become witnesses of the Truth that is God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit and the scriptures that are written in the bible, God’s Word. When we become witnesses, we will be able to testify to what is Truth.
The Holy Spirit Will Show the World How Wrong It Is
John 16:7-11, ‘Still, I (Jesus) must tell you the Truth: it is for your own good that I am going because unless I go, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I do go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will show the world how wrong it was, about sin.
About who is in the right, and about judgement: about sin: proved by their refusal to believe in Me; about who was in the right: proved by my going to the Father and your seeing me no more; about judgement: proved by the prince of this world being already condemned.’
Be Consecrated in Truth
John 17:17-19, ‘Consecrate them in Truth; your word is Truth. As you sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world, and for their sake I consecrate myself, so that they too may be consecrated in Truth.’
Seek the Truth Diligently and Listen
John 1:14, The Word was made flesh, He (Jesus) lived among us, and we saw His glory, the glory that is His as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and Truth.
John 1:16-17, Indeed, from His fulness we have, all of us, received–yes, grace in return for grace, since, though the Law was given through Moses, grace and Truth have come through Jesus Christ.
John 18:37, ‘So you are a king then?’, said Pilate. ‘It is you who say it’, answered Jesus. ‘Yes, I am a king, I was born for this, I came into the world for this: to bear witness to the Truth; and all who are on the side of Truth listen to my voice.’
Jesus is Truth and He will prove it to you, all you have to do is surrender to Him and believe in Him. He will reveal Himself to you. He loves you and He wants to help you. Give Him a chance, you won’t regret it.
You Do Not Want to Experience the Anger of God
Romans 1:18, The anger of God is being revealed from heaven against all the impiety and depravity of men who keep Truth imprisoned in their wickedness.
Romans 2:7-8, For those who sought renown and honor and immortality by always doing good there will be eternal life; for the unsubmissive who refused to take the Truth for their guide and took depravity instead, there will be anger and fury.
God is serious about His punishment that He lays out for those who do not wish to live the life that He has laid out for them. They reject His invite to escape judgement and persecution, not good, not good at all.
How Serious is God?
Here are a couple of scriptures to show you that God means what He says (there are more if you would like to read them):
Revelation 20:15, ‘and anybody whose name could not be found written in the book of life was thrown into the burning lake.’
These are the things that will condemn us: Galatians 5:19-21, When self-indulgence is at work, the results are obvious: fornication, gross indecency and sexual irresponsibility; idolatry and sorcery; feuds and wrangling, jealousy, bad temper and quarrels; disagreements, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies and similar things. I warn you now, as I warned you before: those who behave like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
The Time is Already Here and it Has Been For a Long Time
2 Timothy 4:3-5, The time is sure to come when, far from being content with sound teaching, people will be avid for the latest novelty and collect for themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes; and then, instead of listening to the Truth, they will turn to myths.
Be careful always to choose the right course; be brave under trials; make the preaching of the Good News your life’s work, in thoroughgoing service.
The scripture says it all, unfortunately, they are trying to get churches to adopt a doctrine that if they don’t, they may be forced to shut down. Sadly enough, there will be some churches that bow down to Satan and accept to do what he wants.
The whole assembly that belong to these churches will face the wrath of God. This is where the Mark of the Beast will most likely be, in the worship of an evil church and submitting to the doctrines of man and not God.
People that are not rooted in Truth only believe in their own understanding which will bring for themselves condemnation. All through the bible, God’s Word warns about us deceiving ourselves. Seek the Truth.
John 4:23-24, But the hour will come–in fact it is here already–when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and Truth: this is the kind of worshipper the Father wants. God is spirit and those that worship must worship in spirit and Truth.
You can’t worship God when you rebel against Him and that is what the churches are doing when they accept and welcome what goes against God’s Word and His creation. You also can’t worship God if you don’t turn your will over to Him and follow His blessed Son, Jesus Christ.
Chosen His Children by the Message of Truth
James 1:18, By His own choice He made us His children by the message of the Truth so that we would be a sort of first-fruits of all that He had created.
Ephesians 6:14-17, So stand your ground with Truth buckled round your waist, and integrity for a breastplate, wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace. Also, always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to put out the burning arrows of the evil one. And then you must accept salvation from God to be your helmet and receive the Word of God from the Spirit to use as a sword.
Be a Disciple of Jesus Christ
John 8:31-32, To the Jews that believed in Him Jesus said, ‘If you make my word your home you will indeed be my disciples, you will learn the Truth and the Truth will make you free.’
Jesus will accept all of those who believe in Him and wish to be a disciple of His. He will teach you the Truth.
May God Bless You
By the Grace of God Are You Seeking the Truth or Avoiding it?
