By the Grace of God Are You Seeking the Truth or Avoiding it?

Grace of God | Divine Love | Seek Truth | Faith and Humility

Being Touched by the Grace of God

It was a beautiful thing finding the Lord and being touched by the grace of God. The blessings that I received from God were unspeakable and filled with His love. Then the time came when I was going to have to learn what to do to draw closer to God and be obedient to Him. Well, this is where seeking Truth comes in.

After I decided that I was going to give my life over to the Lord and exchange my will for God’s will, I knew that I was going to have to change my life and my lifestyle for the sake of overcoming my sinful nature. I never realized that it was going to be that difficult and painful but, it was well worth it.

Sometimes You Just Don’t Want To Hear It

I remember many years ago going to church and sitting there listening to the pastor preach. It was nice until he would quote a scripture from the bible and start to preach on it because sometimes it would be something that I did not want to hear. I’m sure this is something that happened to all of us at one time or another.

Pray for the Gift of Discernment

You know what I mean when we respond to ourselves by saying, “I’m going to have to give that up? ” or “I’m going to have to stop doing that? “. The Truth can hurt and cause us to try and manipulate it in a way that we end up deceiving ourselves into believing that we don’t need to stop what we were doing because we can’t see the wrong in it. This is where we need to pray for the gift of discernment.

Discernment is so important to understanding what is Truth and what isn’t. I say this because Truth comes from God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Word of God which is in the bible. God warns us not to put our trust in man (Jeremiah 17:7) and for good reason.

Trust God Only and Not Man

There are many pastors, preachers, teachers, etc., etc. that either think they know truth or they pretend to. There are those that preach half truth to make money from people or to make a living preaching at a church, on the internet or some other way that they can make a dollar.

It can be deadly for you because you put your trust in man for truth and not the Lord. I’m not saying don’t go to church or anything like that but, you need to arm yourself with God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Walk in the Flesh or in the Spirit

No one said that the transition from walking in the flesh to walking in the spirit was going to be easy. It helps though when we build a relationship with Jesus Christ, He is the Way, the Truth and Life. Jesus will guide us and help us overcome our fleshly pleasures and desires.

Battle Between the Spirit and the Flesh

I’m not lying when I tell you that there will be a serious battle between the flesh and the spirit. The flesh will want to remain dominate over the spirit, it doesn’t want to give up the worldly life. The spirit keeps growing in Faith and Humility which brings darkness upon the flesh because the flesh has lost a lot of its freedom to seek pleasures and desires for itself.

It’s understandable that we lived the worldly life for so long that we looked at it only in one way, the way of our flesh. With its pleasures and desires of want it seemed so normal that we considered it the right way to live. In other words, we had to please the flesh. Forget about others, they came second because we needed to take care of us first.

It Becomes a Joy to Seek the Truth

As time went on the Truth was getting easier to accept so much so that, in time, I found myself seeking the Truth more and more and not shying away from it. It’s actually a joy to find seek the Truth and find it. What a Blessing!
It was by the grace of God that I was able to endure the hardships and tests and trials. I was able to grow stronger in faith, patience, love, humility and the ability to overcome temptation.

Seeing the Glory of God

All Glory to God. I thank Him for His divine love, wisdom, mercy, forgiveness, protection from my enemies, blessings and being there for me whenever I need Him. And most of all, for Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.

May God Bless You With His Divine Love

Don’t Be Disobedient to God – Be Obedient to God and Live

Don’t Be Disobedient to God – Be Obedient to God and Live

Disobedient to God | Obedient | Righteousness | God's Grace

Obedience: is the act of following instructions or orders from a person with authority, or the trait of being willing to obey. (definitions.net)

The Fall of Man From Being Disobedient to God

Romans 5:19, ‘As by one man being disobedient (Adam) many were made sinners, so by one man’s obedience (Jesus) many will be made righteous.’

Adam was disobedient to God by partaking of the fruit from the Tree of Good and Evil (Genesis 3:6). Jesus was completely obedient to God and did not sin at all. Jesus led His life according to the will of God and by being obedient to Him.

Through Suffering We Become Stronger

Hebrews 5:8, ‘Although He was Son, He learnt to obey through suffering.’

We will suffer as Jesus did by going through tests and trials, it’s part of being obedient and growing spiritually. Suffering shows us our weaknesses so that by this, we become stronger.

Tests and Trials

We can learn a lot from tests and trials. For instance, love, faith, trust, humility, about sin and the sins that we need to overcome. As we go through them we raise our awareness level, our conscience and we become more fine tuned.

God helps us get through these tests and trials by giving us grace. Also, we can’t let our pride get in the way, we need to be strong in our faith and humility. Pride can destroy any advancement you made in your spiritual growth.

There will be times when things get rough but, keep in mind the rewards that are waiting for those that succeed in overcoming themselves. Rewards such as, peace, freedom, joy, love and a sound mind.

2Cor. 10:5,6, ‘Every thought is our prisoner, captured to be brought into obedience to Christ. Once you have given your complete obedience, we are prepared to punish any disobedience.’

We Can Only Serve One Master

Romans 6:16, ‘You know that if you agree to serve and obey a master you become his slaves. You cannot be slaves of sin that leads to death and at the same time slaves of obedience that leads to righteousness.’

When we become attached to the things of this world, we become slaves of this world and disobedient to God. All that the world has to offer like, materialism, pleasures, desires, lust, envy and covetous just to name a few.

The World is Nothing but Vanity

The world is nothing but vanity, full of emptiness and death. The world can’t give you peace, joy, and happiness and if you think it does, it’s only temporary. One true thing that the world will bring that’s inevitable is death. It can’t give you life like God can.

We have to choose what Master we are going to serve; God or the world. You can choose the world which will leave you empty and naked or you can choose God and Jesus which will give you everlasting eternal life full of love, joy, peace and happiness. It’s all up to YOU!

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God

Matthew 6:33, ‘Set your hearts on His kingdom first, and on His righteousness, and all these other things will be given you as well.’

Ask God to bring you to repentance so He and Jesus can help you change your lifestyle and be free from the bondages of this world. So, if you are feeling lonely and empty inside, call on Jesus to help you out of the darkness and into the light.

Learn Not to be Disobedient to God and not to Rebel Against Him

Romans 6:19, ‘If I may use human terms to help your natural weakness: as once you put your bodies at the service of vice and immorality, so now you must put them at the service of righteousness for your sanctification.’

1Peter 1:14, ‘Do not behave in the way you liked to before you learnt the Truth; make a habit of obedience: be Holy in all you do, since it is the Holy One (God) who has called you, and scripture says: ‘Be Holy, for I am Holy.’

In order for us not to be disobedient to God, we need to humble ourselves and acknowledge our sins. We are all sinners and we have to become aware of the sins that we commit.

We have to be completely honest with ourselves and admit the fact that we have broken the commandments that God laid out for us. Jesus also gave us two new commandments tat we need to practice.

We need God’s grace, we can’t do this on our own. God will also give us the faith we need in order to avoid spiritual death. Jesus will show us the way because He is Truth and the Life.

Pagans Seek Unspiritual Things and Christians Seek Spiritual Things

Instead of seeking and storing up treasures that you desire that will bring pleasure(s) in your life, seek and store up treasures in heaven that will bring you life.

Matthew 6:19-21, ‘Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and woodworms destroy them and thieves can break in and steal. But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moths or woodworms destroy them and thieves cannot break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

You can live your life deceiving yourself into believing that you are free to do almost anything you want or you can ask God to help and teach you how to prepare yourself for heaven.

Disobedient or Obedient?

The wages of sin are DEATH and being obedient to God is LIFE. Your choice.

God Bless You!
