Prove it to be True | What is Truth?
There are three parts to Truth: Knowledge, Understanding, and Experience. You can have all the knowledge of truth, but without experience, you can’t have understanding. Without experiencing the knowledge of the truth that was given you, you have no idea if it is truth or not because you haven’t proved it or it hasn’t been proven to you.
For instance, how can you expect to believe in someone who claims to know truth if they cannot prove it to be true in some way or another? Jesus made sure that there were witnesses that can say they saw and heard what Jesus did and teach.
When it comes to proving the Word of God, you need to seek that out for yourself. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit will teach you Truth. In John 14:6 Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.’
The Truthfulness of God
John 3:33, ‘although all who accept His (Jesus’s) testimony are attesting the truthfulness of God, since He whom God has sent speaks God’s own words: God gives him the spirit without reserve.
The Father loves the Son and has entrusted everything to Him. Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life, but anyone who refuses to believe in the Son will never see life: the anger of God stays on him.’
Did you accept Jesus into your heart? Ask Him to show you the Way and teach you Truth. He will if you give yourself over to Him. God loves those who seek Truth.
If you attend church, go to bible studies, listen to those that preach or teach the Word of God, be careful, sometimes what they teach is not always accurate because they may not have sought out the Truth themselves.
Learn to Keep Scriptures in Context
People have a tendency to take scriptures out of context and use them as they are to teach and/or preach from. They may be telling you that what the scripture says has already taken place in you, when really it hasn’t.
There are scriptures that may involve you learning about other things, or going through some sort of test or trial before you can actually have full knowledge of that scripture along with the experience and understanding. Without this, you may be heading down the wrong path and in the end, wind up not knowing God, Jesus or the Truth.
Save yourself from the condemnation of man and follow Jesus like the scriptures say to do. Put your trust and faith in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, keep your eyes focused on them and believe.
Curse the Man Who Trusts Man | Bless the Man Who Trusts God | What is Truth?
In Jeremiah 17:5-6, ‘Yahweh says this: ‘A curse on the man who puts his trust in man, who relies on things of flesh, whose heart turns from Yahweh. He is like dry scrub in the wastelands: if good comes, he has no eyes for it, he settles in the parched places of the wilderness, a salt land, uninhabited.’
Jeremiah 17:7-8, ‘A blessing on the man who puts his trust in Yahweh, with Yahweh for his hope. He is like a tree by the waterside that thrusts its roots to the stream: when the heat comes it feels no alarm, its foliage stays green; it has no worries in a year of drought, and never ceases to bear fruit.’
You see the difference in what God warns us about trusting in man for Truth. Man is unreliable, but God is Truth and after all, did He not create us? God would never lie to us and that is why He tells us to seek the Truth and do not keep it locked up in your soul. The Truth lies within us. Seek the truth and it will set you free.
Many people don’t want to see the truth or know it because it can interfere with their life in ways that they don’t want it. The knowledge that comes with the truth can alter a persons lifestyle in such a way that they end up having to stop certain pleasures and desires that they just don’t want to give up.
Pray to God These Scriptures for Seeking Truth and True Teachings
Psalm 25:4-5, Yahweh, make your ways known to me, teach me your paths. Set me in the way of your Truth, and teach me, for you are the God who saves me.
Psalm 25:8-10, Yahweh is so good, so upright, He teaches the way to sinners; in all that is right He guides the humble, and instructs the poor in His way. All Yahweh’s paths are love and Truth for those who keep His covenant and His decrees.
Psalm 86:11, Yahweh, teach me your way, how to walk beside you faithfully, make me single-hearted in fearing your name.
Those scriptures can also be used as some beautiful prayers and for meditation. You can find a lot of truth in these scriptures if you study them and practice them.
The Holy Spirit Will Teach us Everything | What is Truth?
Jesus says in John 14:26, ‘but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything.’
Jesus was trying to let His disciples know that He wasn’t leaving them or abandoning them for good. As long as we have faith and trust in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit we will never be alone in our fight with evil and the things of this world.
We will be given wisdom, knowledge and strength to overcome ourselves and the wickedness that wants to destroy us. The most powerful figures in the universe are protecting us and no one can touch our soul. Protected in the arms of God the almighty, the Great I Am… Praise be to God in all His Glory.
