Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God
Posted by: Cliff57 - 02-01-2025, 02:38 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - Replies (1)

Do not set your hearts on the things of this world which are all vanity, but set your hearts on the kingdom of God. All the world has to offer is death, but God offers life to those that trust Him and believe in Him.

Toil for the things that will last forever. Love one another and help one another. Store your treasures in heaven where thieves cannot steal them. What good is it for a man to work his whole life amassing treasures on earth only to lose his soul?

We came into the world naked why leave naked? You can't take materials, money, etc. with you, it will only be left behind for someone else to enjoy, all that you worked your whole life for.

Set your hearts on God's kingdom and enter in the front door like family clothed in light. Don't enter into heaven by the back door, naked and in shame. Your nakedness will be exposed to all.

God Bless You

The Holy Spirit Cannot Be With Those In Sin
Posted by: Cliff57 - 02-01-2025, 02:25 AM - Forum: Holy Spirit - Replies (1)

Wisdom 1:4,5, 'No, Wisdom will never makes its way into a crafty soul, nor stay in a body that is in debt to sin; the Holy Spirit of instruction shuns deceit, it stands aloof from reckless purposes, is taken aback when iniquity appears.'

The Holy Spirit cannot be with someone that still sins. The Holy Spirit is pure and it cannot be with someone that is not pure. If you want the Holy Spirit to be with you forever, then it's going to take Jesus Christ to help you get to the point in spiritual growth where He can ask God to give you the Spirit of Truth forever (John 14:15-17).

Jesus will take you down that road that will lead you to purifying your soul and body. It takes a lot of dedication and laborous work to reach that point, that is why Jesus says, 'Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to perdition is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.'

How much value do you place on your salvation? Do you prefer the things of the world like, materialism, temporary happiness, or death over peace, joy, happiness, freedom and everlasting eternal life?

12 Ways To Grow Spiritually  Cleanse yourself of all iniquity and follow Jesus.

May God be with you always.

  How Do We Sow Peace?
Posted by: Lighthouse - 02-01-2025, 02:09 AM - Forum: Bible Scripture - No Replies

James 3:18, 'Peacemakers, when they work for peace, sow the seeds which will bear fruit in holiness.'

We can sow many things by our actions whether it be peace, love, kindness, compassion, empathy or goodness. We can also sow darkness in the form of hate, anger, inconsideration, selfishness, greed, resentments, envy, jealousy and so on.

What we sow outward is also what we sow inward. By sowing the good things of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we are keeping peace with our fellowman, but when we sow the darkness of evil, we are causing disharmony amongst our fellow brothers and sisters.

What we sow, is exactly what we are going to reap. So, it comes down to choices that we are going to have to make in how we want to be and live. We can live in the darkness of disharmony or we can live in the light of peace.

God Bless You

Jesus said, 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.'

What Are The Consequences That Await A Sinful Nation?
Posted by: Lighthouse - 02-01-2025, 01:45 AM - Forum: God - No Replies

A nation where it's people no longer retain any purity in their lives or marriage will suffer great consequences and disaster. As any nation continues to rebel against God in their immoral behavior they can expect things like these to happen; murder, theft, fraud, corruption, treachery, riots, perjury, disturbance of decent people, forgetfulness of favors, pollution of souls, sins against nature, disorder in marriage, adultery, debauchery, etc.

Filling one's heart with the things of the world and turning them into gods, things that one worships and loves more than God is an abomination to God. One's who place their hopes and trust in man and materials instead of God will only find death knocking at their door.

Justice will overtake them on two counts: as idolaters, for degrading the concept of God, as frauds for swearing in despite of truth, in defiance of all that is Holy. For it is not the power of the things by which men swear, but the retribution due to sinners.

Such a sinful nation the United States and England have become. If they would only turn back to God, they will escape the coming disasters that await these two nations. God is being patient and He is warning these two nations slowly, but His wrath will not wait forever.

Why Does Man Have To Always Complicate Things?
Posted by: Lighthouse - 02-01-2025, 01:14 AM - Forum: Bible Scripture - No Replies

Ecclesiastes 7:30, 'This, however, you must know: I find that God made man simple; man's complex problems are of his own devising.'

It's a shame when man doesn't follow the simple life that God has laid out. Man has this problem with his pride, he is always looking to better what God has already made best. So, in turn, he only makes things worse and causes all sorts of complications for himself.

Man always turns a way from and rejects God's plan and thinks that he has a better way of doing things. That's why we have diseases, famine, unemployment, broken families, unruly children, crime, overcrowding in prisons, all sorts of immoral behavior, alcohol/drug abuse, welfare, corruption, greed, massive debt, violence and so on.

Researchers don't help at all. Look at all the chemicals that they put in food. Do you think that these are healthy? What about all the altered genetics of animals and plant seeds? There's no telling what the food that we eat is doing to our brain and the rest of our bodies.

When you build house upon house like, condominiums, apartments, office buildings where they jamb multitudes of people into one room with no fresh air, don\'t you think that illnesses and diseases can spread quickly?

I'm sure if you look at the way man thinks and lives and look at the way that God taught us how to live, you would see who's plan is the best. But, with man, he always thinks he knows best, that is why everything is so great these days.

Maybe one day man will realize that he is making a big mistake and will turn back to God and see that He has a better way of living, after all, He is the one that created us. What's wrong with just keeping things simple?

What Reward Is There In Loving Someone That Loves You Back?
Posted by: WalterH75 - 01-21-2025, 02:43 AM - Forum: Christian Life - No Replies

Matthew 5:44, Jesus says, 'Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and slander you: That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who makes the sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and rain upon the just and the unjust.'

For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? Do not even the tax collectors do this? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? Do not also the heathens do this?

By doing good to those that you may consider your enemies shows your true love to all mankind just as God does. God does love us all. Each of us has the opportunity to repent and turn our backs on iniquity and hate. By praying for your enemies, you just may be able to turn them into friends. This is one thing that makes a true Christian, a person that can love their enemy no matter what they may do.

Greet your enemy with love, don't try to avoid them. How can you help them if you don't show your love for them? God's love is unconditional and so should ours be. Drop the created love and be clothed with the uncreated love of God.

Do We Sparkle On The Outside Yet Inside Is Corrupt?
Posted by: Jeremiah17:7 - 01-21-2025, 02:13 AM - Forum: Christian Life - Replies (1)

Luke 20:45-47, While all the people were listening Jesus said to the disciples, 'Beware of the scribes who like to walk about in long robes and love to be greeted obsequiously in the market squares, to take the front seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets, who swallow the property of widows, while making a show of lengthy prayers. The more severe will be the sentence they receive.'

It's not right for anyone to draw attention to themselves in order to be in the spotlight. Anyone who does this has a severe problem with their pride and are totally insecure about themselves. To try and show people that you are so Holy or that you deserve to be put on a pedestal is something that God does not tolerate.

No one is better than the next person. No one is holier than another. We must not think this or we will be put in our place. No one needs to notice the good deeds we do or we need not tell another what we have done.

As Jesus states in Matthew 23:27,28, 'Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You who are like whitewashed tombs that look handsome on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and every kind of corruption. In the same way you appear to people from the outside like good honest men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.'

God sees all that men do in their life. We need to do our good deeds and prayers in secrecy. It doesn't matter what others may think about you, what matters is how God sees you. Does He see you as a prideful, hypocrite or as a righteous, upstanding person?

How Does One Become A Disciple of Jesus Christ?
Posted by: Jeremiah17:7 - 01-21-2025, 01:49 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - No Replies

'Luke 14:26, 'If any man comes to me without hating his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple.'

The word "Hate - hating", translated in Greek means to love less. It's important to check exactly what the word means from time to time because it may have different meanings that what we know in English.

We have to put God first and of course Jesus because we cannot go to God except through Him. Our love needs to be directed towards Jesus in order to follow Him. The road is long, narrow and laborious and we have to prove our love for Him by trusting in Him.

Jesus is going to teach us the things we need to know and overcome so that we can be purified and be in union once again with God. This is how we can acquire and be filled with the unconditional love of God which then we will be able to love everyone equally, just as God and Jesus does.

Luke14:27, 'Anyone who does not carry his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.'

Accept Jesus Christ in your heart, pick up your cross and follow Him. He has a long journey prepared just for you and at the end, you will need your cross to nail your flesh to. Jesus is going to teach you and show you what you need to overcome. He will help you prepare your soul for purification in order to receive the Spirit of Truth (John 14:15-17).

Luke 14:33, 'So in the same way, none of you can be my disciple unless he gives up all his possessions.'

This scripture has stopped many people in their tracks. How much baggage can one take with them when they are traveling this long, narrow path while carrying a cross? The whole point of the scripture is, What do you love the most, Jesus or your possessions? What fills your heart?

This Is Some Of The Best News You Could Ever Hear!
Posted by: Jeremiah17:7 - 01-21-2025, 01:35 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - No Replies

1John 1:3, 'What we have seen and heard we are telling you so that you too may be in union with us, as we are in union with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.'

How great is that? Because of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and to bring glory to God, we are able to go back to God through Jesus and be in union with Him once again. When Jesus died on the cross, God rent the veil to the Holy of Holies which means that everyone who accepts Jesus Christ can follow Him and He will lead you back to God so that you can be in union with Him forever.

So what are you waiting for? Get on the road (if you already haven't) with Jesus because He is the Way, the Truth and Life. Thank you God for sending Jesus and Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice and leading us back to God.

God Sent His Son Jesus and He Was Rejected By Many
Posted by: Jeremiah17:7 - 01-21-2025, 01:29 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - No Replies

Psalm 118:22-24, 'It was the stone rejected by the builders that proved to be the keystone; this is God's doing and it is wonderful to see. This is the day made memorable by God, what immense joy for us!'

When Jesus started His ministry and all the time that He taught before His death, He was rejected by many. To this day He is still being rejected by many.

For those that accept Jesus, He is their keystone. He is what many have built upon and created a solid structure that could withstand any attack by their enemies. The day that Jesus died on the cross was and still is a day of joy for many and also for those that find Him.

You can have your day of joy by calling on Jesus Christ and accepting Him into your heart. Why let your enemies get the best of you? The main enemy is Death. Find life in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
