Parable Of The Sower - Second Part

Matthew 13, 'Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they had not much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched; and since they had no root they withered away.
As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.
These are the ones that do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. If they did they would continue to follow Him, working the scriptures, overcoming themselves (their pride) and the world.
They lack the faith and strength needed to go through the tests and trials that come their way. So, what happens is, they wind up worrying, doubting that things are going to be all right or fearing the worst. Without a strong foundation in the Word and faith, they fall.
Is There a God? Is The Word of God Real? Does God Exist?

Matthew 13, 'And he told them many things in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them."
Hear then the parable of the sower. 'When any one hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in his heart; this is what was sown along the path.'
In this first part are the ones that are prejudiced to God's Word. They have closed their mind and rejected it without ever dwelling on it to find truth in the Word of God. They've already deceived themselves into thinking that there is no God and that He is a fantasy. They let Satan rob them of the very thing that could've saved them. They have no roots in the Lord, so they wither away and die.

Pay No Attention To Arrogant People

Isaiah 13:11, 'I will punish the world for its evil-doing, and the wicked for their crimes, to put an end to the pride of arrogant men and humble the pride of despots.'
Arrogant people are people who feed off of their pride. They are walking in darkness, far from the light of the Lord.
Arrogant people come from both sides of the fence, there are those that ridicule others for their beliefs and mock God, Jesus Christ, the bible and religions. Then there are those that belong to a religion and are arrogant towards those that don't conform to their ways and beliefs. They can become so defensive that they begin to spread hate from their pride instead of love from their heart.
These types of people are better left to be ignored and left alone. You can't reason with them or have a rational conversation with them. Be silent and let the Lord deal with them. No need for you to get caught up into their ways. The best you can do is be silent and pray for them.
1Samuel 2:3, 'Do not speak and speak with haughty words, let not arrogance come from your mouth. For Yahweh is an all-knowing God and His is the weighing of deeds.'
Arrogant People Need To Be Left Alone

Kind of makes you wonder these days with all the religions out there. Are we all praying and worshipping the same God? How Do you know? What is the true word of God? No one has seen the God that they worship, but it is believed in men's hearts that there is a God by faith.
If we cannot touch God, then why do people claim that their beliefs or religion is the only true religion? Have they somehow been able to capture God and claim Him as their own? How do they know what religion is right?
I believe that a God that teaches love must be the right one, after all isn't love better than hate? I know that love will bring peace, joy, happiness and true freedom, not like hate which brings wars, violence, crime and misery to the beholder. If the true God does teach to love one another and help each other, then why do we need to have all these different religions?
Why can't everyone just worship the true God that teaches love and teaches to love one another? If this did happen, then maybe man will have a chance to live in peace and harmony with one another.
Show off the God that is in your heart today by doing something nice for your fellow man. Smile! Smile! Smile!

Why Don't People Trust God?

Why is it that many people who claim to have faith in God still have worries, fears and doubts?
I was under the impression that if you are going to be faithful to God and believe in Him that one would have to trust God without worrying, or having fear of the unknown. What about when one doubts the positive and believes that the negative will happen?
From Psalm 7: 1,2 'God, I take shelter (trust) in you; from all who hound me, save me, rescue me, or, like the lion, he will carry me off and tear me to pieces where no one can save me.
Our negative thinking is like the lion, it destroys our faith in God. It can cause us to get stressed, have an impact on us mentally, physically and spiritually. So, if we are going to claim to have faith in God, then we need to prove it to God that we do or the lion will tears us to pieces.
May God Bless You

Why Are Christian Churches Different?

With all the different churches out there that believe in God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit, why do they all have different formats? It can be quite confusing. Are they catering to certain individuals or are they trying to have a better format then another church?
I always thought church was supposed to be a place that you go to to worship God and fellowship with others. Helping each other out, whether they may have a question about the Lord or spiritual matters.
Make sure you find out what kind of church you are attending. Check the Pastor out to see if he is spiritual or not. See if he uses the bible to preach from. Is he a prosperity preacher? Does the church always ask for money? Does the church entertain you? Do they preach TRUTH?
Good luck and May God lead you to the right church.

Calling Oneself A Christian?

One that does call them self a "Christian" could cause others to bash the Christian religion if they don't behave like one.
I have seen too many people calling themselves Christians only to turn around and show hate towards someone by calling them names or bashing their beliefs.
If we are going to follow Jesus Christ, then we need to act like He did when He was here by "Loving One Another" and understand that there are people who haven't surrendered their heart to Jesus yet. Have some compassion for others and pray for everyone. God reads the hearts of all men and women.

Relapse Prevention Intervention Strategies

There are many factors that can cause a person to relapse which could be by means of, emotional, psychological, physical and environmental characteristics. Self-awareness is one of the key strategies that you can use to keep yourself from a relapse. Learning about what triggers you to want to use are the things that need to be changed.
Some of the things that could trigger a relapse are, anger, self-pity, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, fantasizing about some of the good times you had when you were using, peer pressure, family and/or friends that use, hard day at work, a sudden trauma, mental disorders, cravings, your environment and there are others that you can think about. You need to learn what your triggers are and develop coping skills that will help you deal with them and how to avoid triggers that could cause you to relapse.
One of the best places to learn is at AA/NA meetings. There you have many different people to talk to that all share one thing in common, substance abuse. You can ask people how they deal with situations, get ideas on how to cope with them and learn about what caused others to relapse.
One strategy that helps, especially if you haven't been clean for that long is to go to as many meetings as you can, at least one a day. Get involved by joining a homegroup, find a "good" sponsor, build up a strong support group, get plenty of telephone numbers so have someone to talk to.
You can also visit a treatment center and talk to them about getting into a group where you can learn coping skills and relapse prevention techniques. If finances are a problem, look for a place that offers free services. Anything that you can do to make changes, to learn about yourself and what you may need to change about yourself, your lifestyle, friends, your environment and so on will have a positive affect on you staying clean and sober.
If anyone has any relapse prevention strategies that you would like to share here, please do. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated. If it helps just one person, then your effort was well worth it.
Thank You and God Bless You.

Matthew 7:12, 'So always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that is the meaning of the Law and the Prophets.'
How you look at others or what you think of them is basically how you are going to treat them. Some of us pre-judge others before we even get to know them. How we see others are the kind of people that live with. If we see people as mean, rotten, corrupt, nasty, disrespectful and so on, then we never see the good in others. But if we see people as kind, considerate, nice, helpful, happy and so on, then we will never see the bad in people.
You have to ask yourself, 'What kind of people do I have in my daily life? What type of people that I perceive are affecting my daily life?' The type of people that you see can either fill your day with joy, happiness, stress free and so on, on the other hand, you could have a day that is filled with misery, stress, and may cause things to go wrong through the day.
It is one thing to treat people in a kind way, but it also takes seeing others as good people. It's not about how they act towards you, but it's about you bringing out the goodness in others. You never know what another person is going through. They might only need a smile from you to brighten their day.
Have a Great Day!
Love One Another

So Many People Have Searched For The Ark of the Covenant

So where is the Ark of the Covenant? Revelation 11:19, 'Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the Ark of the Covenant could be seen inside it.' God seems to have the Ark of the Covenant in heaven with Him. You can't blame Him, man is too rebellious and corrupt to be trusted with such power.
