  It's Your Choice

Hebrews 3: 12, 'Take care, brothers, that there is not in any one of your community a wicked mind, so unbelieving as to turn away from the living God.'

The author of Hebrews (believed to be Paul), told this to the people at that time as a warning of what will happen to those that reject or turn away from God. The author was referring to what God had said to the Hebrews after the Exodus as it is written in Psalm 95: 10-11, 'For forty years that generation repelled me, until I said: How unreliable these people who refuse to grasp my ways! And so, in anger, I swore that not one would reach the place of rest I had for them.'

There isn't anything that can be added to that, God speaks very clearly about what happens to man that refuses to accept Him and His ways. It isn't that He is forcing us to, He is trying to help us from destroying ourselves. We lead our own selves to our fate, but if we choose to accept God and love Him as He loves us, we will be saved from eternal damnation.

We are living in the best time, we have Jesus to help lead us back to God. The people that lived before Christ didn't have the opportunity that we have. What a beautiful gift God gave us, a way out of our own darkness, a way to know truth, a way to receive the Holy Spirit forever, a way back to God and be in union with Him forever right here and now!

So, why live the worldly life that is so short and can only bring death? Jesus is the way to eternal life, joy, happiness, peace and total freedom from the bondages of this passing world. God gave us free will to choose, so, what's it going to be?

  What Can We Give God?
Posted by: ThomasLa - 03-05-2025, 03:52 AM - Forum: God - No Replies

Romans 11: 34-36, 'Who could ever know the mind of the Lord? Who could ever be His counsellor? Who could ever give Him anything or lend Him anything? All that exists comes from Him; all is by Him and for Him. To Him be glory for ever! Amen

There is only one thing that I can think of that we can give God, and that is our love. By serving Him, being righteous in His eyes and loving one another. God may own everything, after all, He created it, but He did gave us free will to choose to love Him or not. God is willing to share so much of what He has with us and all we have to do is love Him.

He can give us peace, joy, happiness, true freedom and everlasting eternal life if only we would love Him. It is difficult to overcome our corrupt, carnal mind and body, but God gave us a way out, someone to help us, He sent His blessed Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus can lead us back to God, to receive the Holy Spirit forever and be in union with God our Father.

Jesus can help us to overcome the things that darken our minds, hearts and souls and bring us into the light. He will teach us how to change our thought process, and modify our behavior so that we can be purified and enjoy a loving and everlasting relationship with God.

Forget the worldly things that only bring temporary happiness and receive everlasting joy, happiness, peace and true freedom that can only come from God.

  What Keeps Us Divided?
Posted by: JCPNJ - 03-05-2025, 03:25 AM - Forum: Christian Life - Replies (1)

Luke 11:17, 'Every kingdom divided against itself is heading for ruin, and a household divided against itself collapses.'

Here we have a country that has been consistently being divided instead of working together. Whether it is the party system in politics, or race, or religion or any matter that has opposing sides that can't work together.

When you have a family and the parents get a divorce, it divides the family and causes devastating affects to the each member of the family. There is a loss of family structure, security, stability and a certain relationship that they had together.

When people can't work together, it causes a division between them. Nothing positive can then be accomplished because of the resentments, anger, hatred or other negativity that has arised from people's pride. This is typical human nature. Corrupt as our human nature may be, without the guidance of God in our lives and our country, this will always be. We will continue to see families, communities and our nation fall to ruins.

  The Vengeance of God
Posted by: JCPNJ - 03-05-2025, 03:16 AM - Forum: God - No Replies

Isaiah 10:1-4, 'Woe to the legislators of infamous laws, to those who issue tyrannical decrees, who refuse justice to the unfortunate and cheat the poor among my people of their rights, who make widows their prey and rob the orphan. What will you do on the day of punishment, when, from far off, destruction comes? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? Nothing for it but to crouch with the captives and to fall with the slain. Yet His anger is not spent, still his hand is raised to strike.'

Do you politicians think that you can get away with robbing the people of your city, county, state, or country without some type of punishment coming back to you? It may not be in this lifetime, but judgment is coming for you! God is a fair and loving god and He does not appreciate it when His hard working children are being taken advantage of and being robbed (whether it would be from your wasteful spending, mismanagement of funds, unjust laws and so on), of what is rightfully theirs only to feed your selfishness and greed.

So, go ahead and enjoy what you have now, that you stole off the backs of people who put their trust in you to do the right thing, to watch out for the welfare of the people that hired you. Where is your heart? Has it turned dark and cold? Look at the misery that you have caused for millions of people and future generations. You may think that everything is going great for you now, but life here is short and there is no escaping the vengeance of God or judgment day.

Do You Believe In Life After Death?
Posted by: JCPNJ - 03-05-2025, 03:10 AM - Forum: Bible Scripture - No Replies

My neighbor, who I've known for 10 years, died in a bad car wreck back in 1976. She is 62 years old and lives with her 92 year old mother. She was dead for 5 minutes. She told me about her experience when she was dead. She first said that she up in the air looking down at her body. She then went on to tell me that she went through a tunnel that had a light at the end of it.

Upon entering the light, she said that she saw God, other people around her and she saw a beautiful garden. She felt so much peace and love while she was there, but she was told that she couldn't stay because it wasn't her time yet. She said that she did not want to leave because where she was so magnificent that there are not any words to describe it.

1. According to this scripture, we were spirit before we became flesh. Jeremiah 1:5, 'Before I formed thee in the bowels of thy mother, I knew thee: and before thou came forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and made thee a prophet unto the nations.'

2. Genesis 2:7, 'And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul.' I know from one of the supernatural experiences that I went through that there are two parts to us, the carnal (flesh) side and the spiritual (intellect and soul) side.

3. Genesis 6:3, God said, 'My spirit must not for ever be disgraced in man, for he is but flesh; his life shall last no more than a hundred and twenty years.' God is talking about the spirit and soul that He puts in each and every human being. It's apart of Him and it returns back to Him after death of the flesh.

In my opinion, I believe that what she is saying is true. I have always had the Lord in my heart. 22 years after about a 15 year bout with alcoholism, I called on Jesus to help me and come back into my life. Since then I have followed Him and built a beautiful relationship with Him.

I've had many supernatural experiences myself. I sought truth and it has been revealed to me over and over again, along with confirmations. So, I have no doubt that there is another life waiting for us when the time comes. One that is free from suffering and pain.

Is Everything Too Fast Paced These Days?
Posted by: SandraP - 02-01-2025, 05:25 AM - Forum: Christian Life - No Replies

Isaiah 57:20,21, 'The sinful are like the restless sea that cannot be still, and washes up mud and slime. 'No peace' says my God 'for the sinful.'

Do you have too much going on in your life where you cannot find rest for your body and/or mind? In these days when everything seems to be so fast paced, we can lose our selves amongst the things of the world. It is important to take care of our self first.

Nothing that this world has to offer is more important then losing our soul. The things of the world are only temporary, just like your body. To lose your soul for eternity, over a short period of time that the world offers is not a wise thing to do. Ask yourself if the things of the world are worth temporary happiness, stress, worries, fears, loss of freedom because you have become a slave to the world, and most importantly, losing your soul.

Take a look at what is causing the ocean within you to be restless and make adjustments to your life so that you can find peace, happiness and freedom with God that will last forever.

  Spiritual Life or Spiritual Death?
Posted by: SandraP - 02-01-2025, 03:08 AM - Forum: Bible Scripture - No Replies

Romans 8:6 'It is death to limit oneself to what is unspiritual; life and peace can only come with concern for the spiritual.'

We all have needs like food, clothing, shelter and things that help to sustain our lives, but sometimes we get caught up into the pleasures of the world and these things are the things that we live and strive for. We can become slaves to them, even to the point where they become idols and/or gods. This is what can bring us spiritual death.

When we seek spiritual things, we grow in spiritual life, we store up treasures in heaven for when we shed this corrupt flesh and move on. Limiting ourselves to the things of the world by living for them, the things of the flesh, can only bring us death.

Would You Lay Down Your Life For Your Friends?
Posted by: Cliff57 - 02-01-2025, 02:48 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - No Replies

Jesus gave up his life and went through terrible punishment before He was nailed to the cross and died. He truely gave up His life for His friends, you and me. He considers everyone His friends because of His great love for God the Father and all of us. All He asks of us is to not reject Him and to love one another.

He wants us to follow Him, so that we can have eternal everlasting life. His flesh may have died, but He was resurrected and He lives today in the hearts of all who have received Him.

Would you be willing to give up your life and follow Jesus? Would you be willing to give up your life for your friends?

Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God
Posted by: Cliff57 - 02-01-2025, 02:38 AM - Forum: Jesus Christ - Replies (1)

Do not set your hearts on the things of this world which are all vanity, but set your hearts on the kingdom of God. All the world has to offer is death, but God offers life to those that trust Him and believe in Him.

Toil for the things that will last forever. Love one another and help one another. Store your treasures in heaven where thieves cannot steal them. What good is it for a man to work his whole life amassing treasures on earth only to lose his soul?

We came into the world naked why leave naked? You can't take materials, money, etc. with you, it will only be left behind for someone else to enjoy, all that you worked your whole life for.

Set your hearts on God's kingdom and enter in the front door like family clothed in light. Don't enter into heaven by the back door, naked and in shame. Your nakedness will be exposed to all.

God Bless You

The Holy Spirit Cannot Be With Those In Sin
Posted by: Cliff57 - 02-01-2025, 02:25 AM - Forum: Holy Spirit - Replies (1)

Wisdom 1:4,5, 'No, Wisdom will never makes its way into a crafty soul, nor stay in a body that is in debt to sin; the Holy Spirit of instruction shuns deceit, it stands aloof from reckless purposes, is taken aback when iniquity appears.'

The Holy Spirit cannot be with someone that still sins. The Holy Spirit is pure and it cannot be with someone that is not pure. If you want the Holy Spirit to be with you forever, then it's going to take Jesus Christ to help you get to the point in spiritual growth where He can ask God to give you the Spirit of Truth forever (John 14:15-17).

Jesus will take you down that road that will lead you to purifying your soul and body. It takes a lot of dedication and laborous work to reach that point, that is why Jesus says, 'Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to perdition is wide and spacious, and many take it; but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.'

How much value do you place on your salvation? Do you prefer the things of the world like, materialism, temporary happiness, or death over peace, joy, happiness, freedom and everlasting eternal life?

12 Ways To Grow Spiritually  Cleanse yourself of all iniquity and follow Jesus.

May God be with you always.
