Why Do We Attach Ourselves To A Passing World? |

What is so valuable in this world that we have to attach our hearts to and possibly lose our souls in the process? The things of this world and what they bring like, happiness, joy, excitement, security and so on are only temporary. Think about it, when something makes you happy, how long does it last? Not long does it.
God, unlike the world can give us true peace and happiness, along with freedom from the bondages of this world that will last forever. What are your hearts attached to? Why not attach your heart to God and receive the wonderful gifts and blessings He has waiting for you?
May God Bless You

Taking God's Name In Vain |

Some people tend to think that taking God's name in vain means attaching a word like "damn" to the end, by all means it isn't pleasant, it's disrespectful to God.
Taking God's name in vain means using His name for empty causes like trying to get people to convert to their religion or beliefs by means of hate and/or violence, provocation and any other means that God regards as sinful. Granted that God made the commandment not to use His name in vain long before Christianity started, but Christianity is directly associated with God.
Many Christians break this commandment in many ways. They go around calling themselves Christians, yet they don't act like one. This in turn makes God look bad along with the whole Christian religion. Be careful what you sow, it's not a good idea to anger God.

Be Faithful, Don't Fall Into Despair |

'Proverbs 24:10, 'If you lose heart, when adversity comes your strength will only be weakness'.
Empty your hearts of worries, fears and doubts by placing your hope in God or despair will plague you. Trust God with your life, He can help you through your tough times, but it does take faith. Faith builds our strength, strength to endure anything that this world can throw at us.
God doesn't want you to wimp out, that is why He will be there for you. Call on Jesus and let Him show you the way, He will help you build your faith and empty your heart of the very things that kill faith.
We are going to need all the help we can get, don't wait until the last minute. Faith takes time to build.
God Bless You

Trust in God and Trust in Jesus |

'John 14:1, 'Do not let your hearts be troubled, Trust in God still and trust in Me (Jesus).' We can trouble our hearts in many ways like hardships for one. If we say that we trust God and Jesus yet we still worry or fear for the worst, then we do not trust God or Jesus.
Let's show God and Jesus that we have faith in them to help us through any hardship, test, trial or any burden that may come our way. Be positive, that is what God and Jesus want us to be. Being negative only drags us down and causes us to suffer. Be strong in your faith and trust for God and Jesus and they will always be there for you.
God Bless You.

When Your Enemies Surround You, Seek God For Protection |

Everyday we face our enemies, some may invade our thoughts and cause us to make bad choices. Others may come in the form of what people do that affect us emotionally. Then there are those things that seem to go wrong for us. We have a choice to make when these things invade us and try to cause us unrest, or disrupt the calmness that we try to keep within us.
When we are attacked by our enemies, we can make a choice whether to react back in a hostile why, let it cause us emotional pain or throw our thought process out of whack. We can fight back by turning our enemies over to God and seeking His protection from them. Don't let your enemies get the best of you, the faster you fight them, the less chance that they can get a foothold on you and make things worse.
What are some ways that you use to fight back?

The Bible is a great tool for finding out what our character defects are. The Word of God is written in this book to help us save ourselves from eternal damnation. That is why God gave us these instructions, not to hurt us, but to help us because He loves us and He only wants the best for us.
He gave us free will to chose our own destiny and God knows that we are up against the strong forces of evil. He sent His Son Jesus to help and guide us back to God so that we may have life and not spiritual death. We have this tendency to deceive ourselves into thinking that we are good people without ever truly looking inward at ourselves.
Hebrews 4:12, 'For the Word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper that any two-edged sword and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.' The flesh is corrupt in its own way, it wants what the world has to offer and is quick to rebel against God. Many people take what the Bible says and interprets it to mean what they want it to say or they avoid it all together because they know that it will reprove their lifestyle.
If only people would realize that the Word of God will lead us to true happiness, peace, joy and total freedom from the bondages of this world, not false or temporary happiness that the things of this world offer us. Find a better life for now and forever in the Word of God. Call on His blessed Son Jesus Christ to help and guide you.
God Bless You'

Trials and Faith |

James 1:2-4, 'My brothers, you will always have your trials but, when they come, try to treat them as a happy privilege. You understand that your faith is only put to the test to make you patient, but patience too is to have its practical results so that you will become fully-developed, complete, with nothing missing.'
After awhile with dealing and experiencing trials, we should have learned to be grateful to God that He gives them to us for good reasons. No matter how painful or troubling some of these trials may be, we always come through them in the end. The most important part about going through a trial is did we learn what God's intention was for us?
In some cases, we don't have any idea why we are going through certain trials no matter how hard we seek the truth in them. Some of these trials may seem to drag on forever and to us at the time, lack understanding of what it's all about or what good could possibly come of it.
This is where, what the scripture says, 'that your faith is only put to the test to make you patient'. Sometimes it takes a great deal of patience to get through some of these trials and that is one way that we can build up our faith.

True Religion |

James 1:26,27, 'Nobody must imagine that he is religious while he still goes on deceiving himself and not keeping control over his tongue; anyone who does this has the wrong idea of religion. Pure, unspoilt religion, in the eyes of God our Father is this: coming to the help of orphans and widows when they need it, and keeping oneself uncontaminated by the world.
If you see someone that is in need of help in some way, don't walk away from them without seeing what they need and if you can take care of their need then provide it for them.
As it says in 1 John 2:15,16, 'You must not love this passing world or anything that is in the world. The love of the Father cannot be in any man who loves the world, because nothing the world has to offer--the sensual body, the lustful eye, the pride in possessions--could ever come from the Father but only from the world.'
We must let go of the things of the world and seek the spiritual things that God has to offer.

Where Is The Hope - In God or Man? |

Why do people always put there hope in man?
Hasn't anyone learned their lesson yet? Until we turn back to God and put our hope in Him, this nation is going no where but down. You have a two party system that is divided amongst itself. You have a nation that is divided amongst itself. It will fall.
Man is corrupt and always will be. Man cannot handle power. Politicians are going to pay dearly for not looking out for the welfare of the people like they are supposed to. God warned us about having a ruler over 4000 years ago.

Judge Not or You Will Be Judged |

Matthew 7:1-2, 'Do not judge, and you will not be judged; because the judgments you give are the judgments you will get, and the amount you measure out is the amount you will be given.'
Is it right to look upon your fellowman and analyze them? To think or say mean things about them? To mock them? To say that they are evil? Who are we as imperfect as we are to pass judgment on another? Haven't we all done something wrong in our life? Jesus taught to 'Love One Another'. Instead of looking at the bad traits of one another, why not try to bring out the good traits that everyone has inside them?
We can do this by showing others how God and Jesus want us to be. We can pray people on daily basis and not let others get the best of us. People have been turned around just by praying for them or by carrying the love of God around with you. Example: Has someone ever said something mean to you or ruffled your feathers and you called that person all kinds of names or wished ill on them in your thoughts, only to have that person come back later and apologize for acting the way they did?
Maybe you formed an opinion of someone because of what someone else gossiped about them only to find out that they are the complete opposite? Be kind, thoughtful and caring of your fellowman no matter how they treat you back.
