God is pure love

There are two kinds of love: created and uncreated. Created love is the love that is part of our emotions when we are born. Uncreated love is God. When God created Adam and Eve, He created them in His own image.

They were pure love because God is pure love. They were spiritual, not carnal. When they rebelled against God and ate of the tree of good and evil they changed. (They did not eat an apple). There are good fruits and bad fruits. Galatians 5:22,23 good fruits – Galatians 5:19-21 bad fruits. (more…)

We Need Jesus To Help Us Prepare Our Hearts

We have become so accustomed to living a worldly life for ourselves, that we are totally blind to what is acceptable living in the eyes of God. Carnally, it’s our nature to live a worldly life, mostly for ourselves, for the life we want, and not the life that the Lord wants us to live, the life that will prepare us for the kingdom of God. 1John 1:8,9 – If we say we have no sin in us, we are deceiving ourselves and refusing to admit the truth; but if we acknowledge our sins, then God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and purify us from everything that is wrong.

How come many churches don’t teach confession? Could it be because they don’t know how? Could it be because they are afraid of losing people in their congregation? Could it be because they are afraid to lay themselves open to another human being? If you want to walk with Jesus along that long and narrow path with your cross, then you are going to have to do it His way.

Be very careful these days. There are a lot of nonspiritual preachers out there and ones that speak half truth. You have to remember that many, many preachers were taught by man and not by God, not by Jesus and not by the Holy Spirit.

Preachers and Teachers Need To Be Tested

Preachers need to be tested to see if he/she is worthy to seek spiritual advice from. It’s not enough to have credentials hanging on the wall. When we accepted Jesus as our personal Savior, did we not do this to save ourselves from damnation? Some of us chose Jesus because our life was a mess from trying to live it our way. But, for whatever your reason was for accepting Jesus, we all hope to meet together in Heaven.

You should have learned a great deal about sin, like pride, greed, envy, sloth, impatience, jealousy, anger and gluttony.
