Repentance – Feel Deep Sorrow About One’s Actions

repentance | contrite heart | u turn

Feel deep sorrow about one’s actions, etc., etc. wish one had not done; resolve not to continue (a wrong doing etc.) Repentance is much more than just saying, “I’m sorry”. One needs to see how one has lived and is living their life.

We Need Jesus To Help Us Prepare Our Hearts

We have become so accustomed to living a worldly life for ourselves, that we are totally blind to what is acceptable living in the eyes of God. Carnally, it’s our nature to live a worldly life, mostly for ourselves, for the life we want, and not the life that the Lord wants us to live, the life that will prepare us for the kingdom of God. Seek Truth In Jesus Christ and Leave Satan’s World Behind

This is a quote from the article “The Free Will Of Man”, where it says, “Man can choose to do right or wrong, such as, what to eat, how to dress, what to say, where to go, how to live and what or who to worship”.

Acknowledge Your Sins and Make a Confession

Acknowledge Your Sins and Make a Confession Podcast

Pray For Forgiveness

1John 1:8,9 – If we say we have no sin in us, we are deceiving ourselves and refusing to admit the truth; but if we acknowledge our sins, then God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and purify us from everything that is wrong.

How come many churches don’t teach confession? Could it be because they don’t know how? Could it be because they are afraid of losing people in their congregation? Could it be because they are afraid to lay themselves open to another human being? If you want to walk with Jesus along that long and narrow path with your cross, then you are going to have to do it His way.

Seek The Holy Spirit Podcast

“Be Careful Of The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing”

Be very careful these days. There are a lot of nonspiritual preachers out there and ones that speak half truth. You have to remember that many, many preachers were taught by man and not by God, not by Jesus and not by the Holy Spirit.

Preachers and Teachers Need To Be Tested

Preachers need to be tested to see if he/she is worthy to seek spiritual advice from. It’s not enough to have credentials hanging on the wall. They need to be guided by the Holy Spirit and also Faith. One thing you might want to look at is, “What works of faith can they produce?” (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Daily Evaluation of the Mind, Behavior and Emotions

Daily Evaluation Podcast

Keeping Our Thoughts, Emotions and Behavior in Check

Now that we have made amends, it’s time to keep from doing the same things that we had to make amends for over again. We can do this by overcoming our pride which affects our mind, behavior and emotions. It begins by the way we think and how we bring into ourselves the actions of others.

I suppose you could say that if we were alone, we wouldn’t be affected by other people and we, ourselves, wouldn’t be able to affect others by our actions. You could do this if you choose to be a hermit, but many of us don’t have that choice. And even if we did, how could we ever overcome our flesh and learn to love our brothers and sisters in the way God wants us to? (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Making Amends Podcast

Make Amends To The People You Have Harmed

Now that you have made your lists, it’s time to make amends. First, you have to understand that sometimes it’s not good to open up old wounds. We don’t want to harm others again, but this doesn’t mean that we’re off the hook from making amends. There are ways of making amends for all situations. It’s a matter of how you approach it.

You could just go to the person(s) and apologize for the things you did wrong to them without going into detail for fear it might get the person riled up. The main thing is that it has to come from the heart in a sincere and remorseful way. It doesn’t matter if the person doesn’t want to forgive you. Pray for them, one day they may have to do what you are doing now. (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Make A List Of Our Iniquities or Resentments

Make A List Of Our Iniquities Podcast

Iniquities are the Same as Sins

When we did something wrong to someone did we do it intentionally or did we do it out of ignorance? Sometimes we aim to harm people and some of the reasons we do this is for personal gain, that we don’t like the individual, or because we like to stir things up between others.

Gossip is a sure way to hurt others and sometimes it backfires on us. I’m sure if you think about it you could come up with more reasons. Well, guess what? We need to think about it and think deeply about it. Just when you think it couldn’t get any harder, this walk with the Lord is about to. (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Remove Character Defects

Remove Character Defects Podcast

Character Defects are Negative Thoughts, Emotions and Behavior

Now that we have taken a look at ourselves by making a list of things we did wrong and told them to another individual, it’s time to work on removing these defects for good. Remember to always talk to Jesus about these things we need removed and let Him help us to overcome these defects.

The defects we have can be a little tricky to see. Reason being is because we’ve been accustomed to our way of thinking for so long, that the things we do don’t seem to be so bad, and it’s likely because we, as carnal minded people, are blind to our own defects. Some of our defects are usually seen be others. This is how other people judge our character. (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Self Will – Take An Inventory Of Ourselves

Self Will Podcast

Our Behavior Is Pretty Much Ruled By Our Pride or Self Will

Our emotions and our actions are of self will. We want our lives to be in perfect order as WE would like them. We do not care about what others want or need or even if we do, so long as it doesn’t interrupt our way of life, the life WE want.

If we want something bad enough, we’ll do whatever it takes to get it. Some break the law of man, while others break the Law of God. This is self will and not God’s will. (more…)Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail
