False Prophets – Teachers – Preachers

False Prophets Pod

Who Are You Listening To?

There’s a lot to be said about this topic. First off, almost anyone can fall prey to these people. Jesus said in Matthew 7:15,16, ‘Beware of false prophets who come to you disguised as sheep but underneath are ravenous wolves. You will be able to tell them by their “fruits”. (If you do not know what they mean by “fruits” read Galatians 5:22).

There are a lot of good orators for one. They know how to hold your attention which is very important to them or no one would listen. Most of them are taught how to do this.

Let’s ask ourselves a few questions. Am I looking for someone to tickle my ears? Why did I choose the church I am now attending? What about the bible study I am attending? Take a moment before reading on and think about it…

2Timothy 4:3,4, ‘ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables’.

This scripture is so true! People flock to these so-called men of God. Why? Because they put up a good front and they say what people want to hear, and the sad thing about it is that they are being sooo misled.

I have heard some of the most abominable things come out of preachers and teachers mouths and people believe it. I’ll tell you from experience that they do not like being refuted. Pride and closed mindedness have control over them and that’s deadly. I’ve seen their faces glow with pride and it is ugly.

Now, I’m not trying to tell you that all preachers and teachers and even other people are corrupting God’s Word and that everything they say is a lie or misinterpreted. Just be careful what you hear and believe.

When a man is taught solely by another man, how can one know truth? I’ve know people who have been going to church and bible study all their life and still don’t know truth. Not a good thing.

Read Mark 4:15-19. When you hear God’s Word or even when you study it yourself, talk to Jesus about it. He’ll give you the answer you need. Maybe you won’t receive it right away, but when you do receive it, you will know it. And the nice thing about it is, He’ll give you a conformation on it. Sometimes two, three or more.

If you do not receive an answer right away, put it on the shelf and come back to it later. Don’t get discouraged because you don’t understand, the Lord knows what you need and when you need it.

False prophets, teachers and preachers don’t know what you need, or when you need it or even if you understand. That’s why they are going to speak things that they believe are truth or by their pride, they will con you into believing that they are a spiritual leader sent by God and that everything they say is truth.

It took 2 years of contemplating off and on on one subject before the Holy Spirit revealed the whole truth to me. And once He did, I could look back and see the things I had to learn first before I could understand the whole truth. Be Patient! We have a tendency to to get impatient because we want to understand it all right away.

Rushing into things can be harmful to our spiritual growth. For example: Take however old you are and think about everything you know. You couldn’t possibly take all that knowledge and experience and learn it all in say a month, a year or even in half the years you are old.

Follow Jesus, He is The Way, The Truth and Life! Everyone has a different path to travel on. No two people travel the same path (although many people travel the same highway) that is why it is so important to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. He will take you to the cross, and you will enter into the tomb and emerge reborn into a new creation.

Then, Jesus will as He says in John 14:15-17, ‘If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you a another Advocate, that He may abide with you forever.

The Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, nor knoweth Him; but you shall know Him; because He shall abide with you.’ This is one of thee most beautiful gifts God gives us.The Holy Spirit in our hearts and souls forever.

Praise God and Bless His Heart and Soul. He will teach you the truth, help you discern the truth (another wonderful gift from God – “discernment”), guide you to spiritual maturity and comfort you in your sufferings. But first, before this can happen, you’ll need to follow Jesus to the cross – YOUR CROSS.

Keep Jesus with you always and remember to be aware of the False Prophets, Teachers and Preachers that are with us.

May God Bless You Always With His Love
